This flowering evergreen shrub grows throughout Bermuda and is known as the “Leading Lady” of our gardens. Red is probably the most common color, but there are also yellow, white and pink varieties. Most flowers are a showy 4 to 5 inches in diameter and there are double varieties as well. Hedges of this lovely plant line Bermuda’s roads and gardens bringing color to the island throughout the year.
