THE EASTER LILY
STERLING SILVER BERMUDA ICONS
These large white lilies have always thrived in Bermuda’s spring weather. In the late 1800s when Bermuda’s main industry was agriculture, Easter lilies were one of the island’s major exports, along with onions and potatoes. While the flowers are no longer exported commercially, each Easter the Bermuda Government sends a bouquet of Bermuda-gown Easter lilies to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.
